Having friends that love photography is like... the best thing ever. I get so excited to have someone else shooting with me, learning from them, and seeing how their creative mind works. It’s so nice to talk to someone about things not everyone understands or cares about, it's quite relieving actually.
On top of that, it’s also nice knowing you aren’t alone in your struggles. I listened to the Heart & Hustle podcast recently about “Starting A Movement”. It talked about how this field can make you feel so alone sometimes because there is so much ‘competition’. It really hit home for me because of the area I live in and how many great photographers there are, but meeting up with other photographers and having fun reminds me why I started photography in the first place.
